the candidate list of substances of very high concern (svhc) now contains 247 entries for chemicals that can harm people/the environment. companies are responsible for managing the risks of these chemicals&giving customers&consumers information on their safe use. 

helsinki, 21 january 2025 – two newly added substances (octamethyltrisiloxane and perfluamine) are very persistent&very bioaccumulative. they are used in the manufacture of washing&cleaning products&in the manufacture of electrical, electronic&optical equipment. 

two substances have persistent, bioaccumulative&toxic properties. o,o,o-triphenyl phosphorothioate is used in lubricants&greases. the reaction mass of: triphenylthiophosphate&tertiary butylated phenyl derivatives is not registered under reach. it was, however, identified as an svhc to prevent regrettable substitution.

6-[(c10-c13)-alkyl-(branched, unsaturated)-2,5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl]hexanoic acid is toxic for reproduction&used in lubricants, greases&metal working fluids. 

tris(4-nonylphenyl, branched&linear) phosphite has endocrine disrupting properties affecting the environment&is used in polymers, adhesives, sealants&coatings. the entry for this substance is updated to reflect that it is an endocrine disrupter to the environment both due to its intrinsic properties&when it contains *** 0.1% w/w of 4-nonylphenol, branched&linear (4-np).
